* When the accreditation process conducted, the department has not had graduates yet. Meanwhile, graduates have high score in the accreditation evaluation. Currently, department is proposing a re-accreditation process after having 58 graduates.

Description

In accordance with applicable regulations, undergraduate program can be adjusted in 8 semesters (4 years) with a total credits of 144. The study period (for 8 semesters) is divided into 2 stages: PREPARATION STAGE and BACHELOR STAGE. The preparation stage covers the 1st and 2nd semester with a total credits of 36, while the bachelor stage covers the 3rd to 8th semester with a total credits of 108.

At the preparation stage, students are provided with general basic courses, basic science courses, basic shipping courses and basic economics courses. Meanwhile at the bachelor stage, students are learned about basic knowledge of marine transport engineering and elective subjects that characterize the field of marine transportation. More information can be found in the curriculum.

Besides the courses that are conducted in the classroom, there are also subjects that are categorized as duties and practices, and elective courses that can be chosen according to student's interest. Department of Marine Transportation Engineering offers 3 groups of specialization:

  1. Shipping;
  2. Port; and
  3. Maritime Logistics.

The selection of interest groups was conducted in elective subjects selected by the students.

Graduates Program, including Master and Doctoral Program majoring in Marine Transportation Engineering is still being held by the Department of Naval Architecture.
